This image was first created at the Tunnel a cavernous disco in NYC that features a disused section of subway. I was sent there in fall '86 to photograph any luminaries who happened to be in attendance.I got to know Grace and her entourage who thanked me on the occasion of our first meeting for not pestering them with my cameras. I almost lost a lot of face that night, because I was there with some friends, totally loaded with all my papparazzi equipment, all ready to "pap" Grace when the management asked me to NOT to, however on the way out she personally thanked me. A few weeks later I was invited to her birthday party (kindly leave your cameras at the door). Other guests included Michelle Phillips, Matt Dillon, Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall who trod on my foot. I apologised.
