Hansen International is a legal services firm, specialising in company law, commercial and trade law, intellectual property and environmental law. The bilingual and multilingual staff serve clients in Taiwan, the PRC, North American and Europe.

In addition Carolyn Hansen is Chairperson of Earthplace, a non-profit association association promoting sustainable development which publishes Worldwatch Institute materials in Taiwan and defines and administers projects with government, industry, or other N.G.O.s.

As with the previous image of Robert Player, this portrait was taken in somewhat unusual circumstances. The wonderfully textured background is actually the wall of a derelect restaurant a few blocks from Ms Hansen's offices.
